This is what I stepped on as I walked out the door onto the back porch.
Cort was proud and protective of his 'kill'.
I was showing just a bit too much interest so he took it away.
What a good dog for helping us with the gopher population explosion.
What a mess our property will be as dog exterminates gophers.

Ew. That's gross.
Yum, he brought you dinner!
I remember when Gus was digging for gold in my dad's back yard...they just KNOW where they are.
One down for you, probably a million to go.
Good Cort, keep it up. I hope he doesn't eat them?!
We have lots of ground-hogs in our yard. Kitty sure seems interested in them, sits in window and watches them. We have moles also, not fun trying to walk or cut lawn for all their trails. Would be nice to have a dog to take care of them problems. BUT, we don't have fenced yard, don't like a loose dog running around.
Take care,
did he eat it?
Good dog. At least someone's getting them now!
He has found a way to earn his keep! At least he didn't leave a headless body on the doorstep for you...as cats are apt to do. :P
What a clever doggie! So useful, so proud. So cute. Don't tell him about the cute part.
go get 'em cort!!
SO DID CORT SHOW OFF TO JERRY? "LOOK NO GUN". KEEP SCORE AND LET US KNOW. JUST ONE THING.CORT HAS ALL DAY TO HUNT. NO OTHER JOBS TO DO. I WOULD USE
M80S OR DYNOMITE. ONE IN EACH HOLE. NOW THAT WOULD BE A BLAST!
Hey Kathy! I'm trying to get the word out about something and am having a little contest on my blog. Come check it out!
Sorry for ther grossness coffeebean.
He doesn't eat them, he shows them to us and then goes and buries them out back.
You all crack me up! Jerry (plus gun or trap) - 0 gophers.... Cort with bare paws and mouth - at least 4 gophers....
Darlene,Cort is good but not as good as ol' Gus!
