of precipitation this past weekend.... It came down for about 30 hours, with heavy gusts of wind and an unofficial total of 8 inches of rain.
My Pink Ladies are almost ready to harvest.
I'm looking forward to green grass and cool nights.
But not so much the mud.....
Happy Trails!

Apples looken yummy. are the trees loaded or just a few apples on them?? Tobad one can't keep the pastures green, NO mud aloud... I am glad the rain soaks in fast, here in Ovid. NO water standing or mud.. well so far, in the 5 yrs here...
As veterinarian and horsewoman, I enjoy life in the Foothills of Northern California. I 'owned' my first horse at the tender age of eight and have had assorted horses since. Currently, I share my space with four horses and two mules, ranging in age from two years to twenty-plus.
I partner with my husband Jerry, an accomplished horseman and mule packer.

That is wonderful. Such an appetizing shot.
Mmm...Pink Ladies! Those and Gala are my favorite types of apple. Crunchy and tart.
Enjoy the rain...boo to mud! I am not ready for our muddy season at all. Ugh.
Mom, we have enough to make each resident of this property an apple dumplimg.....
